JONESBORO – At its most recent quarterly meeting, the Arkansas Higher Education Coordinating Board gave its approval of several degree and certificate programs to be offered by Arkansas State University.
Three existing degree programs were approved to be offered online:
— Bachelor of Science (BS), health studies
— Bachelor of Science in Education (BSE), special education K-12
— Undergraduate certificate, public relations and advertising
Another existing degree program, the Bachelor of Science (BS) in digital technology and design, was authorized to be offered at A-State Campus Querétaro in Mexico.
The state board also approved reconfiguration of two existing degrees to create new programs at Campus Querétaro.
The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) is reconfigured to create the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Systems Engineering (BSESE) and the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) is reconfigured to create the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Systems Engineering (BSMSE).
Two new graduate certificate programs were also approved:
— Early childhood/special education integrated B-K
— Special education resource K-6 and 7-12
