STARKVILLE, Miss. (3/22/25) – Arkansas State track and field athletes combined for six outdoor bests on Saturday to conclude the Alumni Bulldog Relays at the Mike Sanders Track Complex.
Menachem Chen highlighted the pack, moving to ninth in school history in the shot put with a throw of 17.37m (56-11.75) to place fourth. Chris Boyd followed in sixth, throwing a collegiate-best 16.84m (55-3). Liya Guy was ninth in the women’s shot put, throwing a collegiate-best 11.63m (38-1.75).
Jacob Dorrell recorded an outdoor-best clearance in a runner-up finish in the men’s pole vault, clearing 4.90m (16-1). Gavin Schaer and John Carswell both vaulted 4.75m (15-7), placing fifth and seventh, respectively.
Colby Eddowes placed ninth in the javelin throw, tossing the implement a career-long 46.47m (152-6), capping a weekend in which he had three personal-best marks. Eddowes also won the 110-meter hurdles (13.58), with Will Glass placing ninth (14.94).
Izzy Daines was seventh in the women’s javelin, throwing 39.98m (131-2).
In the 100-meter hurdles, Tyra Nabors notched a top-5 finish, placing fourth with a time of 14.04.
Miranda Burgett placed 25th in the women’s 200 meters with a time of 25.65.
NEXT UP
A-State returns to action next week, competing in Austin, Texas, at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays (March 28-April 1) and the Bobcat Invitational (March 29-April 1) in San Marcos, Texas.
