JONESBORO, Ark. (3/28/25) – Arkansas State women’s tennis carries a six-match home winning streak into a pair of home matches this weekend, hosting Appalachian State and Marshall.
Both matches are slated to start at 10 a.m. at the A-State Tennis Complex. In the event of inclement weather, the matches will be moved indoors to Ridgepointe Country Club with match times set for 10 a.m. and 8 a.m., respectively. Admission is free to all home A-State tennis matches.
“”Our goal this week is to keep improving and sustain the focus that is required to execute at a high level,” A-State head coach Sujay Lama said. “These are the types of matches that are fun to play. They are meaningful and will challenge us to bring our best.”
App State enters Saturday’s match at 10-5 and 3-2 in SBC play, while Marshall is 13-4 (2-3 SBC).
The Red Wolves have won 11 matches for the first time since 2012, while their four conference wins are the most since 2009. When winning the doubles point, A-State holds a 10-0 ledger this season.
