JONESBORO, Ark. (4/17/25) – Following his first career win earlier this week, Jack Maxey of the Arkansas State men’s golf team has been named Sun Belt Conference Golfer of the Week, the league office announced Thursday.
Maxey was the individual medalist to lead the Red Wolves to the team title at the A-State Spring Invitational. He carded a career-best 8-under par 64 in the final round, the second-lowest round in program history. Maxey totaled a career-best 12-under par 204 for the tournament helping the Red Wolves to a 36-under 828 and the lowest 54-hole total in a spring event in program history. For the week, Maxey had an eagle and 18 birdies against only five bogeys for a stroke average of 68.00.
This is the fourth weekly honor of the season for an A-State men’s golfer and Maxey is the third different player to be recognized.
A-State heads to Annandale Golf Club in Madison, Miss., for the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Championship April 21-24. Live coverage will be on ESPN+ and live scoring on Scoreboard by Clippd.
