JONESBORO, Ark. (3/25/25) – Arkansas State women’s basketball guard Shaunae Brown earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors on Tuesday, highlighting her success in the classroom over the 2024-25 academic year.
The Academic All-District Women’s Basketball teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes women’s basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Student-athletes must hold a 3.50 GPA or higher and must appear in at least 90 percent of games played to be eligible for recognition.
Brown, a graduate student from Toronto, Ontario, posted a GPA of 3.83 over the academic year and aims to graduate with a degree in Communication Studies.
She participated in all 32 contests and started in 25 for the Red Wolves, helping lead the program to a 21-11 (15-3 SBC) record. The Scarlet and Black won their first SBC Tournament Championship and punched its ticket to the first NCAA Tournament in program history.
