What is KLEK?
KLEK is a FM radio station that is licensed to broadcast in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
The station is classified by the Federal Communications Commission as a Noncommercial Educational Station.
This means that the station must be owned and operated by a non-profit organization serving an educational purpose to the community.
KLEK is owned and operated by The Voice of Arkansas Minority Advocacy Council.
The Voice of Arkansas Minority Advocacy Council is registered as a nonprofit corporation in the State of Arkansas. We have a 501(c)(3) non profit status with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Provide jobs especially for African Americans seeking experience in radio broadcasting.
Entertain by providing a variety of music appealing to lovers of R&B, Soul, Gospel, Jazz, and more!
Why the name KLEK?
The first letter K is because the station is located west of the Mississippi River. By Federal Communication Commission (FCC) rules, all stations west of the Mississippi River must begin with K.
So why the LEK?
LEK stands for Lovie Edmond Kale, whose influence upon us cannot be placed into words. It is because of her love and teachings that we named the station after her to carry on her legacy and memory.

KLEK-LP Jonesboro is a low power FM Noncommercial Radio Station. The station is authorized to operate at a power of 100 watts. The station broadcasts from a 50 feet tower from our studio which is located at 1411 Franklin Street, Jonesboro, Arkansas. This provides enough power to broadcast to the city of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
