JONESBORO, Ark. (5/14/24) – The Arkansas State women’s tennis team had four student-athletes selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday.
A-State’s four honorees included Rebecca Brody, Yasmine Humbert, Sarah Millard and Nejla Zukic. CSC members were permitted to nominate up to four student-athletes for the honor.
Recent A-State graduates, Brody finished with a 3.96 GPA in Global Supply Chain Management, Humbert had a 3.75 GPA in Animal Science and Zukic posted a 3.60 GPA in Management. Finishing up her sophomore campaign, Millard carries a 3.93 GPA in Psychology.
The 2024 Academic All-District® Women’s Tennis Team recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. To be eligible, student-athletes must possess at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average, and graduate students must have at least a 3.50 in both degree programs. Additionally for tennis athletes, nominees must be present in the team’s lineup for at least 70% of total matches.
A-State, Georgia Southern and Troy led the Sun Belt Conference with four honorees each on the list. A total of 26 players from the league were recognized.
