JONESBORO, Ark. (4/17/25) – Arkansas State women’s basketball head coach Destinee Rogers announced the first transfer addition to the 2025-26 roster on Thursday, signing senior guard Mia Tarver.
“We are really excited to welcome Mia to the Red Wolves family,” said Coach Rogers. “She is a three-level scorer and plays with a lot of passion. Our fans will love the excitement that she will bring to our games.”
The Salt Lake City, Utah, native arrives in Jonesboro after averaging 9.0 points and 3.3 rebounds along with swiping 59 steals in one season at Utah State. She tallied 11 games with 10-plus points in 2024-25, including a career high 19 points on Jan. 11 at Nevada.
Prior to her time with the Aggies, Tarver helped lead Salt Lake Community College to a 44-15 record over two seasons. She averaged 9.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.9 steals over 20 starts as a sophomore in 2023-24, guiding the Bruins to a nationally ranked finish.
A four-year letterwinner at East High School in Salt Lake City, Tarver earned First Team All-State honors twice and All-Region honors four times. She averaged 15.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.9 steals and 3.0 assists in her high school career.
