MARICOPA, Ariz. (5/9/24) – Arkansas State women’s golf makes its team debut in postseason competition this weekend when the Red Wolves play in the second annual National Golf Invitational (NGI) at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Course.
Backed by Golfweek, the NGI features 10 of the top teams in the country which didn’t qualify for the NCAA Championship. A-State, ranked 104th in the latest national rankings, is joined by Austin Peay (121), Chattanooga (82), FAU (127), Jacksonville State (133), Mercer (88), Rutgers (85), Santa Clara (109), USC Upstate (144) and UNC Wilmington (90) in the 10-team field.
Ashley Kim, Elise Schultz, Morgan Beaulieu, Olivia Coit and Madison Tenore will be the five golfers for A-State at the NGI this weekend. This is the third all-time appearance for A-State women’s golf in the postseason, first for the team, following individual NCAA appearances by Amanda Beeler (2000) and Olivia Schmidt (2022).
