JONESBORO, Ark. (8/21/24) – Arkansas State men’s cross country was picked to finish second in the Sun Belt Conference’s preseason coaches poll, announced by the league office Wednesday.
The Red Wolves received one first-place vote and were picked behind Appalachian State.
A-State is coming off a runner-up finish at last season’s Sun Belt Conference Championships and have finished third or better in the last five conference championship meets dating back to 2019. In that span, the Scarlet and Black have won a pair of team titles along with an individual champion.
The Red Wolves begin the 2024 cross country campaign on Saturday, Aug. 31, competing at the City Auto Memphis Twilight Classic at Mike Rose Park in Memphis, Tenn.
