MACON, Ga. (4/6/25) – Beginning its final regular season event, the Arkansas State women’s golf team is fourth among 10 teams at the Brickyard Collegiate hosted by Mercer at Brickyard Golf Club.
The tournament was originally scheduled to be a 54-hole tournament with 36 holes on Monday and the final 18 holes to be played on Tuesday. However, with rain forecast for Monday, the first round was moved to Sunday and a final round will be played Tuesday.
A-State totaled 24-over par 312 in the first round to rank fourth among the 10 teams on a day the scoring average was 79.05. Mercer led the rankings for day one at 9-over par 297 while Seminole State (+16) and Xavier (+20) rounded out the top three. North Alabama (+25), Belmont (+26), Longwood (+26), Winthrop (+28), West Georgia (+31) and USC Upstate (+31) complete the team standings.
With the Sun Belt Conference Championship beginning next week, all eight Red Wolves made the trip to Macon, Ga. Caroline Hughes paced A-State Sunday at 2-over par 74 to rank fourth, one stroke off the individual lead. Anne-Lea Lavoie and Sofia Bastidas were 3-over par 75 to tie for seventh while Madison Tenore registered a 6-over par 78 to stand 26th. Olivia Coit was 7-over par for 29th, Morgan Beaulieu and Shannon Berry were 8-over par 80 to rank 37th, and Charlotte Menager (+12) was 58th.
The second and final round will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. (CT). Live scoring is available on Scoreboard by Clippd.
