JONESBORO, Ark. (6/3/24) – The Arkansas State Athletics Department announced Monday that the date for its 2024 Homecoming football game has been moved to Oct. 5, when the Red Wolves will play South Alabama at 6:00 p.m. in their Sun Belt Conference opener.
The original Homecoming date was announced as Oct. 26, but was moved up to Oct. 5 due to a change in Arkansas State University’s academic calendar for this upcoming fall semester.
A-State, which will be coming off its first open week of the season and beginning Sun Belt play at Centennial Bank Stadium for the second consecutive year, will carry a 63-31-3 all-time Homecoming record into its game against the Jaguars. The Red Wolves have won 18 of their last 21 Homecoming contests.
Arkansas State made a bowl-game appearance in 2023 for the first time since 2019 and announced 36 players as part of its 2024 recruiting class that ranked first in the Sun Belt. The Red Wolves return 15 starters, including 10 on offense and five on defense, and a total of 55 letterwinners.
A-State will appear at the Sun Belt Conference Media Days on Wednesday, July 24, in New Orleans. Season tickets may be purchased by calling the Red Wolves Foundation at 870-972-2401 or online by visiting AStateRedWolves.com/Tickets.
