The deficit grew to seven in the top of the sixth following a five run inning for the opposition. In the next frame, Tollett batted in the first run for A-State and reached on a fielder’s choice to make the score 7-1.
ULM pushed the lead back to seven in the top of the eighth while Campbell nullified the run with an RBI-groundout in the bottom of the ninth, but that would be all for the Scarlet and Black. Daniel Gonzalez (2-1) earned the win and Aidan Haynes claimed the save while Allen took the loss.
