JONESBORO, Ark. (3/19/25) – The Arkansas State women’s bowling team has garnered the No. 5 seed in the Conference USA Bowling Championship March 20-23 at Colonial Lanes in Harahan, La.
A-State closed out its regular season with a 77-37 record, including a 19-16 mark against top 25 foes. The Red Wolves compiled a 20-23 head-to-head record against CUSA teams this season.
The Red Wolves meet No. 4 seed Wichita State Thursday morning at 9 a.m. while No. 3 Vanderbilt meets No. 6 Stephen F. Austin. No. 7 Sam Houston meets No. 10 Valparaiso while No. 8 Louisiana Tech meets No. 9 Tulane with the winners advancing to the double-elimination bracket. Top-seeded Jacksonville State meets the winner of Louisiana Tech and Tulane while No. 2 seed Youngstown State gets the winner of Sam Houston and Valparaiso.
Each match will follow the mega-match format where teams bowl a five-person traditional match, then five Baker games for total pinfall. If one team wins both the traditional match and Baker match, they advance. If the teams split the traditional and Baker match, a Baker best-of-seven series will decide the match.
Matches are scheduled for 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The championship match is set for 8:30 a.m. on Sunday. All matches will be broadcast on ESPN+.
