PREGAME NOTES
- Arkansas State defeated Marshall 9-1 in the series finale on Sunday, March 16, to clinch the first conference-opening series victory since sweeping Troy in 2019.
- Jack Hibbard struck out nine batters over 9.0 innings pitched, becoming the only Sun Belt pitcher to throw two complete games this season.
- Cross Jumper finished the week with a .500 batting average over 18 at-bats, batting in 10 baserunners and crossing the plate once against Memphis and the Thundering Herd.
- Wil French added more runs to his career total over the weekend, and looks to surpass Chris Floyd (1992-95, 150) and Joe Schrimpf (2014-17, 151) with at least four runs.
- The Scarlet and Black are on a hot streak, walking away as the victor in six of their last seven contests.
