MACON, Ga. (4/8/25) – Closing out its final regular season event, the Arkansas State women’s golf team finished fifth among 10 teams at the Brickyard Collegiate hosted by Mercer at Brickyard Golf Club.

The tournament was originally scheduled to be a 54-hole tournament with 36 holes on Monday and the final 18 holes to be played on Tuesday. However, with rain Monday, the first round was moved to Sunday and the final round played Tuesday.

A-State improved by seven strokes from its first round to register a 17-over par 305 in the second and final round of competition. The Red Wolves totaled 41-over, three strokes back of North Alabama for third while host Mercer won at 26-over par. Xavier took runner-up at 28-over par while Seminole State was third at 35-over par.

Anne-Lea Lavoie capped the regular season with her second top 10 finish of the season in a tie for ninth at 7-over par 151. Following her first round 3-over par 75, Lavoie carded a 4-over par 76. Morgan Beaulieu turned in the low round of the day for A-State at 1-over par 73 to move up 23 spots and a tie for 14th with a total of 9-over par 153. Madison Tenore (78-78) and Caroline Hughes (74-82) tied for 21st at 12-over par 156 while Olivia Coit (79-78) tied for 25th at 13-over par 157. Sofia Bastidas finished 34th (75-84), Charlotte Menager (84-79) was 49th and Shannon Berry (80-93) was 60th.

The Sun Belt Conference Women’s Golf Championship returns to the Lakewood Club in Point Clear, Ala., April 14-17. Stroke play begins Monday and the top four teams after 54 holes advance to match play on Thursday. Live coverage each day will be on ESPN+ and live scoring will be on Scoreboard by Clippd.
