LINCOLN, Neb. (2/21/25) – The fourth-ranked Arkansas State women’s bowling team downed 1,000 or more pins in all five Baker matches Friday at the Big Red Invitational to stand second among eight teams.
A-State (67-28) was a perfect 5-0 on the day totaling 5,270 pins for an average of 210.8. Nebraska leads the field with 5,459 pins, an average of 218.4.
The Red Wolves opened the tournament with a 1,120-953 tally against Central Missouri topping 200 pins in all five games, including a high of 266. A-State followed with a 1,025-926 margin against Elmhurst and added a 1,073-562 victory against Quincy. Meeting Conference USA foe in No. 25 Valparaiso in the fourth match of the day, the Red Wolves came away with a 1,052-966 triumph. A-State closed out the day with a position round win over Elmhurst, 1,000-811.
A-State faces No. 13 McKendree, No. 7 Wichita State and No. 1 Nebraska in traditional matches before a final position round traditional match on Saturday. Two rounds of bracket play await on Sunday. All matches are available to watch by searching for Red Wolves Bowling on YouTube.
