LOUISVILLE, Ky./LUBBOCK, Texas (2/1/25) – Multiple Arkansas State track and field athletes entered or bettered their standings in the program’s all-time indoor top-10 on Saturday in competition at Texas Tech’s Stan Scott Invitational and Louisville’s PNC Lenny Lyles Invite.
Carly Pujol won the women’s pole vault at Texas Tech, finishing just inches shy of the program record with a clearance of 4.20m (13-9.25).
A day after setting the school record in the 3000 meters, Jacob Pyeatt narrowly missed his second program-best mark in as many days, running 4:02.81 to place sixth in the mile and move to second in school history in the event.
In the women’s mile, Sammy Mason posted the fourth-best mark by a Red Wolf in the event, placing 11th with a time of 4:53.29.
Camren Bailey moved to sixth in program history in the men’s 200 meters, finishing in 21.64. Kenyon Parker ran 21.82 while Javarian Otey (22.09), Mehki Hoo (22.40) and Josh Jones (22.66) also ran. Jada Buggs ran in the women’s race, clocking in at 25.58.
In the 800 meters, Mia Conroy registered a time of 2:15.35 to place 14th and move to 10th in program history. Kamil Przybyla and Brandon Williams ran in the men’s race, with Przybyla placing 10th (1:52.32) and Williams running a collegiate-best 1:54.07 to place 23rd.
Chris Boyd won section B of the men’s shot put, throwing a career-best 17.36m (56-11.5). In the A section, Willem Coertzen was second with a throw of 18.33m (60-1.75), while Menachem Chen was ninth, tossing 17.20m (56-5.25).
Michelle Ogbemudia threw a season-best 15.94m (52-3.75) to place third in the women’s shot put, while Selase Sampram placed fifth with a time of 15.51m (50-10.75).
Kiara Strayhorn cleared a career-best 1.70m (5-7) to place 10th in the women’s high jump, while Gavin Schaer and Kenyon Parker were 11th and 12th in the men’s high jump with a height of 1.92m (6-3.5).
Both Will Glass and Tyra Nabors placed fifth in their respective finals of the men’s and women’s 60-meter hurdles, running 7.91 and 8.44.
In the women’s pole vault in Louisville, McKenna Hall placed sixth with a height of 3.32m (10-10.75).
Evan Stevens finished 16th in the men’s mile with a time of 4:14.02. Avinash Patel ran 4:17.31 in his 28th-place finish, while Gabe Falting clocked a personal-best 4:22.17 to place 39th. Aviel Gasko was 53rd, crossing in 4:33.24.
In the women’s mile, Abbey Coberly ran a season-best 5:06.58, placing 30th. Malena Cybak (36th, 5:10.89), Lizzee Winkler (47th, 5:19.19) and Devyn O’Daniel (50th, 5:22.77) also ran for the Scarlet and Black.
Maja Dzialoszewska was 11th in the women’s 3000 meters, finishing in 10:11.71.
Dawson Mayberry (15:28.49) and Ian Horton (15:50.00) ran in the men’s 5000 meters, placing 28th and 36th, respectively. Ivanna Hargis competed in the women’s event, running 19:09.69 to place 18th.
